Tamilisai Soundararajan, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) addressed the citizens of Telangana and delivered her first speech as the Governor of Telangana.
On the 9th of September, Ms. Soundararajan addressed the public and said she is happy to work with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Tamilisai Soundararajan said Telangana is the ideal State of India and has a strong foundation to become ‘golden Telangana.’
Ms. Soundarajan further said the TRS Government respects the sentiments of everyone and gives equal status to all religious festivals. She said the Government is working for the welfare of the citizens of Telangana by introducing new schemes in the State.
Ms. Soundararajan also praised the multiple developments in Telangana in the field of transportation, export, administration, agriculture, irrigation, welfare schemes, hygiene, power generation and others. She said the Kaleshwaram Project by the TRS Government is commendable as it will resolve the water crisis of the people of Telangana.
Moving further, the Telangana Governor also appreciated the 30 day action plan by the TRS Government for the development of all the villages in the State.
Soundararajan took over as the Governor of Telangana on the 8th of September, replacing E.S.L. Narasimhan. Tamilisai Soundarajan became the first Governor of independent Telangana.
