Telangana CM KCR, Governor And Ministers Pay Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi On His Death Anniversary

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation on his 73rd death anniversary. 

The 30th of January is the death anniversary of Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi, fondly called Bapu.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar paid tribute at Bapu Ghat, Hyderabad and remembered the sacrifices and role of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mr. Rao said as the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi had become a role model to the world by showing a new path of freedom struggle having the weapons of prayer, pleading and protesting.

Mr. Rao recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s non violent struggle towards freedom of India from British rule.

Late Mahatma Gandhi’s non violence and Satyagraha movement played a major role in achievement of Independence from British rule.

Nationwide, the death anniversary of Mahatma is observed as Martyrs Day.

KCR while paying tribute, said the life of Mahatma Gandhi would show the ultimate victory of truth forever.

Besides KCR, the Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Bapu Ghat, Hyderabad.

Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, the Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, the Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana K.T.Rama Rao paid tribute.

In addition, the Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali, the Animal Husbandry Minister of Telangana Talasani Srinivas Yadav and other Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) also paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at the Bapu Ghat.
