K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, will soon expand his Cabinet in Telangana.
As of now, there are a total of 12 Cabinet Ministers in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government. According to sources, KCR is expected to induct 6 more ministers. However, an official announcement regarding this is yet to be made.
It is reported the TRS will expand its Government towards the end of September.
Speaking about who will be introduced into the Cabinet, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Ganguly Kamalakar, Vinay Bhaskar and Danam Nagender are a few members expected to take oath as State Ministers.
TRS members and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) also demanded K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, be included in the Cabinet.
M. Krishna Rao, a TRS MLA, appreciated KTR and said he should be a part of the Cabinet for rapid development of the State.
In the past few days, Rama Rao worked hard on the membership drive of the TRS. Under his leadership, the TRS recorded the highest membership, compared to the opposition parties’.
This time, women could secure a place in the Cabinet as there are no women in the TRS Cabinet.
On the other hand, a few leaders of the Indian National Congress (INC) are also expected to join the TRS.
According to sources, Sabitha Indra Reddy, a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC,) Satyavati Rathod and Haripriya Nayak are expected to join the TRS.
However, an official announcement regarding the Government expansion is yet to be made.
