The Telangana Government on the night of the 26th of August, released a media bulletin informing the details of the beds availability for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients.

According to the bulletin, as of the 27th of August, there are 17,908 beds available in private and government hospitals.

While government hospitals are treating patients free of cost, the State Government announced the bed allocation free at the private teaching hospitals.

In Government hospitals there are 5,464 vacant beds available while the total number of beds available in private hospitals are 4,890.

Beds in Government hospitals and private teaching hospitals:

Isolation beds: 12,284 (available,) 722 (occupied) and 11,562 (vacant.)

Oxygen Beds: 5,861 (available,) 1,105 (occupied) and 4,756 (vacant.)

ICU beds: 2, 251 (available,) 661 (occupied) and 1,590 (vacant.)

Total: 20,396 (available) 2,488 (occupied) and 17,908 (vacant.)

Beds in government hospitals:

Regular isolation beds: 2,055 (total,) 722 (occupied) and 1,333 (vacant.)

Beds with Oxygen supply: 4,673 (total,) 1,105 (occupied) and 3,568 (vacant.)

ICU beds with ventilators: 1,224 (total,) 661 (occupied) and 563 (vacant.)

Total: 7,952 (total,) 2,488 (occupied) and 5,464 (vacant.)

Beds in private hospitals:

Regular isolation beds: 3,334 (total,) 1,604 (occupied) and 1,730 (vacant.)

Beds with Oxygen supply: 4,016 (total,) 1,915 (occupied) and 2,101 (vacant.)

ICU beds with ventilators: 1,786 (total,) 727 (occupied) and 1,059 (vacant.)

Total: 9,136 (total,) 4,246 (occupied) and 4,890 (vacant.)

Meanwhile, Telangana has a total of 1,14,483 positive cases, of which 27,600 are active cases, 86,095 are recovered/discharged and 788 deceased.
