Telangana COVID-19 Cases Rises, Single Day Spike Crosses 900 Cases

The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases are rising everyday in the State.  From the previous 800 cases, the single day cases increased to 965 in the past 24 hours. 

According to the media bulletin released by the Telangana Health Department, the State recorded 965 fresh COVID-19 cases, 312 recovered/discharged cases and 5 deaths from COVID-19.

Of the total 965 new cases, the highest number were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.)  The GHMC limit reported 254 COVID-19 cases, followed by 110 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 97 from Rangareddy, 64 from Nizamabad, 39 from Nirmal, 35 from Jagtial, 29 each from Karimnagar and Sangareddy, 24 from Nalgonda, 22 from Khammam, 20 from Vikarabad, 19 from Warangal Urban, 18 each from Siddipet, Adilabad, Mahabubnagar and Suryapet.  The remaining cases were 15 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Mancherial and Kamareddy, 14 from Rajanna Sircilla, 12 from Peddapalli, 11 from Jangaon, 8 each from Medak, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, 7 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad and Warangal Rural, 6 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 5 from Narayanpet and 1 case from Mulugu.

In addition, the Telangana Health Department conducted  59,343 sample tests for the Novel Coronavirus, of which reports of 1,927 samples are awaited.  So far, 1,02,70,249 tests have been conducted in the State for the Novel Coronavirus.

With the aforementioned data, Telangana has 3,09,741 positive cases, of which 3,01,876 are recovered/discharged cases, 6,159 are active cases and 1,706 deceased cases.

In addition, the recovery rate of Telangana from COVID-19 is at 97.8 % and fatality rate at 0.55 %.
