Telangana COVID-19 Update: State Reports 1,058 Fresh COVID-19 Cases

With an everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases, Telangana crossed 2.6 lakh cases.

Till the 19th of November, Telangana reported 2,60,834 positive cases of COVID-19 with 1,058 fresh Coronavirus cases.

On the night of the 18th of November, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin to update about the COVID-19 situation in the State.

According to the bulletin, Telangana reported 1,058 new cases, 4 deaths and 1,440 recoveries.

Of the total fresh positive cases, the highest cases were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) 168 cases, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (93) and Rangareddy (91.)

The remaining cases were 58 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 53 from Karimnagar, 47 from Sangareddy, 43 from Nalgonda, 37 each from Mancherial and Nagarkurnool, 36 each from Khammam and Jagtial, 35 each from Warangal Urban and Suryapet, 30 from Sircilla, 29 from Siddipet, 25 from Peddapalli, 24 from Vikarabad, 18 from Kamareddy, 17 each from Medak and Yadadri Bhongir, 16 each from Jangaon and Nizamabad, 15 each from Mulugu and Wanaparthy, 13 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 9 each from Nirmal, Warangal Rural and Mahabubabad, 8 from Mahabubnagar, 7 from Narayanpet, 6 from Komarambheem Asifabad and 4 from Adilabad.

With these updates, Telangana has 2,60,834 positive cases, of which 2,46,733 are recovered/discharged cases, 12,682 active cases and 1,419 deceased.

Of the 12,682 active cases, 10,352 are in home isolation and the remaining cases are in institutional care for COVID-19.

In addition, the State Health Department also updated about the regular tests for COVID-19.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 38,757 tests were conducted for the Novel Coronavirus. Till date 50,11,164 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the State.

Of the total, 1,058 tested positive and results of 542 samples are awaited.

In addition, Telangana has a recovery rate of 94.59 % and fatality rate at 0.54 % for the Novel Coronavirus infection.
