The Telangana Health Department on the night of the 10th of January, released a media bulletin, updating about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation in the State.
As per the released bulletin, till the 11th of January, the State has 2,90,008 positive cases.
In the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 224 fresh positive cases, 461 recoveries and 1 deceased.
Of the 224 new cases, the highest number of cases are from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) with 56 cases, followed by 26 from Rangareddy, 13 from Karimnagar, 11 each from Sangareddy and Warangal Urban, 8 each from Rajanna Sircilla, Jagtial and Adilabad and 7 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mancherial and Nizamabad.
The remaining cases were 6 each from Yadadri Bhongir and Medak, 5 each from Peddapalli and Mahabubabad, 4 from Warangal Rural, 3 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Vikarabad, Nagarkurnool and Khammam, 2 each from Wanaparthy, Suryapet, Siddipet, Nalgonda and Kamareddy and 1 from Bhadradri Kothagudem.
In addition, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Narayanpet and Nirmal districts did not report any new cases of the COVID-19 infection.
The positive cases were reported from 24,785 samples which were tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of the total 24,785 samples tested, 10,905 were conducted on primary contacts and 2,974 were on secondary contacts. With this, the cumulative tests conducted in Telangana for COVID-19 reached to 72,78,021 till date.
With the aforementioned data, Telangana has 2,90,008 positive cases, of which 2,83,924 are recovered/discharged cases, 4,518 are active cases and 1,566 are deceased cases.
On the other hand, the recovery rate in Telangana for COVID-19 also improved and currently at 97.90 % and the death rate of Telangana reduced to 0.53 %
