Telangana reported 2,176 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
According to the released media bulletin on the night of the 23rd of September, the State reported 2,176 positive cases, 8 deaths and 2,004 recoveries.
Of the total 2,176 new cases, 25 were from Adilabad, 88 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 308 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 40 from Jagtial, 24 from Jangaon, 20 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and 22 from Jogulamba Gadwal.
The remaining cases were 48 from Kamareddy, 120 from Karimnagar, 86 from Khammam, 22 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 36 from Mahabubnagar, 68 from Mahabubabad, 44 from Mancherial, 41 from Medak, 151 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 26 from Mulugu, 47 from Nagarkurnool, 136 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 21 from Nirmal, 68 from Nizamabad, 42 from Peddapalli, 56 from Rajanna Siricilla, 168 from Rangareddy, 67 from Sangareddy, 95 from Siddipet, 82 from Suryapet, 19 from Vikarabad, 43 from Wanaparthy, 34 from Warangal Rural, 77 from Warangal Urban and 40 from Yadadri Bhongir.
With these updates, Telangana till date has 1,79,246 positive cases, 30,037 active cases, 1,48,139 recovered/discharge cases and 1,070 deceased.
Out of 30,037 active cases, 23,929 are under home isolation and nearly 6,108 patients are institutional care.
Meanwhile, between the 22nd and the 23rd of September, the State Health Department conducted as many as 55,318 COVID-19 test.
Of the total tests in the past 24 hours, results of 1,257 samples are awaited.
With this, till the 24th of September, the Telangana Health authorities conducted a total of 26,84,215 COVID-19 tests.
In addition, with more than 2,000 recoveries everyday, the recovery rate of COVID-19 in Telangana improved to 82.64 %.
