On the 28th of May, Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, participated in the meeting conducted by Rajiv Gauba, the Union Cabinet Secretary.
The video conference meeting, which was organised to discuss the Novel Coronavirus situation, the ongoing lockdown and other measures.
During the meeting, Somesh Kumar, representing Telangana said the State Government is ready to tackle the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation.
Mr. Kumar said , even if the number of COVID-19 cases increased in the coming days, the arrangements by the State Government, health care staff and other medical needs is equipped to handle the pandemic crisis.
In addition, the State has stock of required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits, face masks, testing kits, beds, ventilators and hospitals, which could handle 1 lakh cases in Telangana.
The meeting was attended by Union Government officials and chief secretary of other states, two days ahead of the end of the nationwide lockdown.
The nationwide lockdown 4.0., is set to end on the 31st of May.
