The flood hit Hyderabad is still trying to recover from the heavy damages, happened in the past few days.
Due to excessive rainfall, Telangana witnessed heavy damages of worth Rs. 5,000 crores.
In regard to this, Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, on the 21st of October, directed officials to form teams to ensure distribution.
Mr. Kumar asked for formation of 300 teams in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) areas and 50 teams of officials in neighbouring municipalities for the speedy distribution of financial assistance at the doorsteps of the people.
The decisions to form the teams were taken during a meeting chaired by Somesh Kumar.
During the review meeting, Mr. Somesh reviewed the distribution of assistance to flood hit people.
Mr. Kumar also asked officials to prepare a systematic plan to expedite the distribution of financial assistance to the people in Hyderabad.
He also directed the officials to set up a control room in the GHMC areas to monitor the distribution.
The strategic plan to distribute food and essential items include route-plans, identify affected localities and mobilize required manpower from the districts, as required.
Meanwhile, with the CM Relief Fund and other launched measures, the Telangana Government is working towards the repair works and rescue works amid the alert of heavy rainfall for the next two to three days.
