The recent health survey conducted by the Telangana Health Minister Mr. T. Harish Rao, showed over 1 lakh people are having the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) symptoms.
On the 22nd January, Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Telangana Health Minister of Telangana, conducted a door to door fever survey. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister questioned the people if they are vaccinated and if they are suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms like cold, cough and fever. He asked the people to follow precautionary measures including wearing masks and maintaining physical distance when stepping out of the house.
The fever survey was started as a preventive measure to control the spread of the Wuhan virus. To ensure that no one is having COVID-19 symptoms and are following COVID-19 precautions, the State Government launched the same.
Tests would be conducted on such people and the health care officials hand over the isolation kits if they are tested positive.
After the survey, on the 23rd of January, Sunday Mr. T. Harish Rao said, “As many as 29.2 lakh houses were surveyed in the last two days and over one lakh people had Covid-related symptoms,” He further said, “In another four or five days the fever survey will be finished… pregnant women with the virus need not worry. We have made special arrangements across the state if they test positive.”
Over one lakh people in Telangana are showing COVID-19 symptoms as per data from ongoing fever survey in the state, said health minister T. Harish Rao on Sunday. All of them have been given home isolation kits.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Government is ready to face the third wave and has kept 56,000 beds in government hospitals.
In addition, the ongoing survey is expected to be conducted for the next 4-5 days.
