The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Rangareddy and Sangareddy are some of the containment zones in the State. 

The decision was taken by the State Government based on the guidelines issued by the Central Government to.

On the 29th of June, the Ministry of Home Affairs of India, announced extension of the lockdown in containment zones and Unlock 2.0., for Red, Orange and Green zones. 

Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, said the GO order was issued under the Disaster Management Act 2005. 

According to the GO, there would be curfew in containment zones except medical emergency from 10:00 P.M., to 5:00 A.M.

The released GO read, “However, movement of persons for the operation of industrial units in multiple shifts, movement of persons on National and State Highways, loading and unloading of cargo and travel of persons to their destinations after disembarking from buses, trains and airplanes shall be permitting during the period.” 

All the shops and other establishments except hospitals and pharmacies will remain open till 9:30 P.M.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 16,339 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus. 

Out of the total, 8,785 are active cases, 7,294 are recovered/discharged cases and 246 deceased.
