The Telangana Government with an extended lockdown in containment zones, announced special guidelines.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, issued a set of guidelines, including mandatory wearing of face masks.
The State Government said all should be with face masks.
Shops would be allowed only till 9:30 P.M., curfew would be imposed from 10:00 P.M., to 5:00 A.M., till the lockdown, the 31st of July.
People were asked to follow the issued guidelines strictly and if anyone would be found violating any rule, he/she would be charged with heavy penalties and punishment.
The State Government deployed a heavy police force to keep an eye on the situation and ensure no one violates any rule.
The police were also asked to file cases and penalties against those who do not wear masks.
In the past also similar guidelines were issued to curb the spread of the virus.
Since March to the 30th of June, the Telangana police charged approximately 67,557 people without face masks qnd 3,288 people were given e-challans, for violating COVID-19 and traffic rules.
This time police warned people residing in containment zones to be cautious and not to violate any rule.
The Telangana Police said if anyone caught violating rules, they will be sent to jail.
The highest number of violations were registered in Hyderabad with 14,346 cases, 8,290 in the Ramagundam Commissionerate, 6,372 in Khammam, 4,213 in Suryapet and 3,907 in Warangal.
Meanwhile, Telangana crossee 17,000 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
Till the 2nd of July, Telangana has 17,357 positive cases, out of which 9,008 are active cases, 8,082 recovered/discharged and 267 deceased.
