Telangana Government Issues Orders To Treat Medical Staff, Health Department Employees And Doctors At NIMS

The Telangana Government, on the 8th of July, took a major decision regarding the safety of doctors and medical staff from the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Considering the rise in the cases of the Novel  Coronavirus, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) decided the treatment of the COVID-19 infected doctors and medical staff as State Government’s duty. 

In regard to this, doctors and staff would be treated at Nizams’ Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Panjagutta, Hyderabad. 

Dr. Preeti Meena, the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare Department of Telangana, on the 8th of July, wrote to Dr. K. Manohar, the Director of NIMS regarding the same. 

During the pandemic crisis, many front line warriors like policemen, sanitary staff, doctors and medical staff are working day and night to save thelives of people. Appreciating the efforts of these front line providers, the Telangana Government issued the orders for their treatment at NIMS. 

In addition, the State Government asked different departments to issue guidelines providing quality treatment to its employees if tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.

The new arrangements for frontline warriors and employees would help them for a better treatment under the State Government.

Etela Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana, issued an official order on the evening of the 8th of July.

The State Government asked NIMS to make the necessary arrangements for the same. 

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 29,536 cases of the Novel Coronavirus, of which 11,933 are active cases, 17,279 are recovered/discharged cases and 324 deceased.
