The Telangana Government, on the 30th of June, announced to postpone CETs and EAMCET examinations.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government told the Telangana High Court (HC) in the wake of the pandemic crisis and increasing cases of the Novel Coronavirus, TRS decided to put a hold on the exams.

In the past few days, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) witnessed massive hike in the Novel Coronavirus cases.

The Government counsel said that it is necessary to impose lockdown in Telangana.

Recently, the State Government also cancelled the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in the State.

This comes after the state High Court asked the Government to decide on the lockdown and COVID-19 situation.

Considering the current scenario due to the Novel Coronavirus, it is difficult to conduct the exams.

A petition was filed in the High Court to postpone all the CETs in the State.

However, the State Government would conduct TSBTET exams in the State from the 3rd of July.

Since the exam has a limited number of 10 students and is helpful for the future competitive exams, the State would not cancel the exams.

Besides this, the decision related to degree, pg and engineering exams are yet to be taken.

As of now, the State Government postponed the post graduate, Undergraduate and diploma exams.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 15,394 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Out of the total, 9,559 cases are active cases and 5,582 are recovered/discharged cases and 253 are deceased.

Stay tuned for further updates.
