The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations which were re scheduled from the 8th of June, has been postponed by the Telangana Government.
The decision to postpone the exams was taken after the Telangana High Court directed the Telangana Government to suspend the exams in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area. The GHMC areas have the highest number of the Novel Coronavirus cases and is also the containment zone for the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.
In regard to this, instead of suspending the SSC exams only in the GHMC, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government suspended the exams in the entire State.
If conducted, the new dates would be announced after reviewing the situation of the spread of the Coronavirus in the restricted containment zones.
Meanwhile, According to sources, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana is expected to conduct a review meeting and take a call if exams would be canceled for this year or would be conducted later.
The Telangana Government would also consider the suggestion to grade the students based on their academic year’s performance and cancelling this year’s class 10th examinations.
The SSC exams which has been postponed again due to the pandemic crisis due to the Novel Coronavirus, would decide the fate of as many as 5.5 lakh students registered for exams.
