Telangana Governor Extends Maha Shivratri Wishes

Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, on the 21st of February, extended Maha Shivratri wishes to Telangana citizens.

On the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri celebrations, Ms. Soundararajan said, “May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us.  I once again convey my warm greetings to all the people on this auspicious occasion.”

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, also extended his warm wishes on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

The Telangana Travel and Tourism Department even launched a special helicopter service for the devotees, travelling to Sri Raja Rajeshwari temple in Vemulawada, Telangana.

Allola Indrakaran Reddy,  the Endowments, Law and Environment, Forest Minister of Telangana, on behalf of the State Government would visit the temple and worship lord Shiva.

Mr. Reddy is also going to offer silk robes to Goddess and lord Shiva.  The temple would also perform special puja.

As a part of Maha Shivratri celebration, the State Government organised a special arrangements of Siva Diksha at 4:00 P.M., and Maha Lingarchana at 6:00 P.M.
