The Telangana High Court (HC) issued notice to the State Government and the State Election Commission (SEC) over irregularities in flood money distribution.
According to sources, on the 5th of January, the Telangana HC issued notification to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government.
Dasoju Shravan, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Spokesperson, wrote to the Telangana HC regarding the irregularities in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) flood relief distribution. In his letter, he alleged that ruling TRS party leaders and its corporators had committed several irregularities in the distribution of the flood relief.
Mr. Shravan also alleged that the ruling TRS party leaders had distributed ₹10,000 as the flood relief only to gain the votes of the residents.
The Telangana HC considered the letter as PIL and reviewed the matter.
The Court also asked the State Government and SEC to file a counter reply over the allegations.
The next hearing regarding the case is scheduled to be heard after the upcoming Sankranti vacation, the 14th of January.
The date of the next hearing is yet to be announced.
