The Telangana High Court (HC) reviewed a petition and refused to quash the FIR registered against Mr. K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, the Member of the Parliament (MP) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Notably, Mr. K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju filed a petition in the Telangana HC, demanding to quash of FIR registered in connection with the alleged kidnap and assault of a policeman. However, the court dismissed the petition, after the police opposed the petitions on the ground that they have strong evidence against them. The police further added that the investigation is underway and they have enough evidence to prove the facts he is alleged of.
It is to be noted, that the Cyberabad Police had booked MP K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, his son, his personal assistant, and two personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on July 5, for kidnapping and assaulting an official from Hyderabad. An official of the intelligence wing of Andhra Pradesh Police filed a case at Gachibowli police station for kidnap, assault, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation.
