On the 17th of September, the Telangana High Court (HC) reviewed the petition filed regardinh the suicide of the Saidabad rape and murder case accused.
The Court has ordered a judicial inquiry into the suspected suicide of accused Raju, who has been missing since the 9th of September, when he sexually assaulted and murdered a six-year-old girl in the Singareni Colony in Saidabad. According to the most recent reports, the 3rd Metropolitan Magistrate Warangal will undertake an inquiry based on the Telangana High Court’s order and will present a report in four weeks.
This action follows a petition alleging that Raju’s death was planned. The culprit in the Saidabad rape and murder case was found dead on the 16th of September at Station Ghanapur in Telangana.
With the death of Raju, this is the second time that a rape accused died, even before the start of judicial trial. In 2019 Disha Rape Case of Hyderabad, the four accused were killed in an encounter.
V.C. Sajjanar, the then Police Commissioner of Cyberabad, killed the four accused, as they were trying to escape.
