Telangana Heat Wave to continue for Days

Telangana has been suffering from a horrid heat wave for the past few days and reports say it will persist for another few more days.

A number of places in Telangana experienced high temperatures on Monday. At Ramagundam and Hanamkonda, the highest temperature of 45 degree Celsius was recorded.

Nizamabad faced the second highest temperature of 44 degrees and Hyderabad followed with 42 degrees.

In some parts of the State like Konijerla, Bonakal, Kampasagr and Manuguru had slight rainfall.

Initially, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) reported the heat wave would extend until May 23. Now, they have again extended the heat wave duration in Telangana to 25th May.

Hyderabad reached its highest recorded temperature on Friday with 43.8 degrees Celsius in Marredpally, Monda Market, and Shaikpet.

The Automatic Weather Stations of Telangana State Development and Planning Society recorded a 47 degree temperature on Friday in the Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

Since April 1st, there have reportedly been 167 deaths due to sun strokes but this claim is yet to be confirmed that all the deaths were due to heat strokes.
