K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is going to conduct a Cabinet meeting on the 11th of December.
The meeting is organised to discuss various issues related to the irrigation sector of the State and to take the necessary decisions for the same.
K. Chandrashekar Rao is expected to chair the meeting, which would be attended by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) officials and the Cabinet ministers.
The major issues which would be discussed at the meeting are the construction of a new barrage on the Godavari, the Telangana Municipal elections and the promises made to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees.
The TRS Cabinet ministers are expected to approve the construction of a barrage across the Godavari at Dummugudem. The reason to construct a new barrage is its storage capacity and hydro power generation. The new barrage would be able to store 37 tmcft water and generate 320 MW hydro power.
Besides the irrigation sector related issues, the Cabinet is scheduled to discuss the upcoming Municipal elections in the State.
