K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, on the 14th of August, inaugurated a Basthi Dawakhana in the Ramreddy Nagar Basti of Habsiguda area, Telangana.
The newly launched Basthi Dawakhana would provide free medicines, medical facilities and other health related issues to 12,000 people.
Nearly 3,000 houses of 6 slums in Ramareddy Nagar Basti would benefit from doctors, OPD consultants, lab diagnosis and for BP and diabetes related issues.
On the 14th of August, KTR launched a total of 25 basthi dawakhanas in Habsiguda.
T. Srinivas Yadav, Animal Husbandry Minister of Telangana, Sabitha Indra Reddy, the Education Minister of Telangana, Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana and Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan were present during the inauguration event.
With the launch of another 25 Basthi Dawakhanas, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMS) now has a total of 193 such dawakhanas.
