K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 22nd of August, reviewed the membership drive held by the Party recently across the State.
Mr. Rao conducted a meeting with senior leaders and collectors at the Telangana Bhavan. During the meeting, Rao asked all the members and workers of the Party to be active and counter any allegations made by the opposition parties.
Speaking about the opposition parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Indian National Congress (INC) and others recently alleged the TRS Government of wasting the public’s money on the Kaleshwaram Project.
KTR asked the TRS members to explain the reasons and scenario to the opposition parties, if any party alleges the TRS Government. The reason for such guidelines is maintaining transparency with the people of Telangana, who may believe the allegations of the opposition parties.
Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, the Whip of the TRS in the Legislative Council, informed about the membership drive of the TRS and said the Party crossed the target of 60 lakh members and Gajwel recorded the highest number of registrations, with 90,575 members.
Approximately 20 lakh active members will get their identity cards by the 15th of September.
