Errabelli Dayakar Rao, the Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, on the 21st of September, distributed Kalyana Lakshmi or Shadi Mubarak money to beneficiaries.
As per the guidelines of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Dayakar Rao distributed the money.
Mr. Rao said, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was helping the poor by providing financial assistance under Kalyana Lakshmi or Shadi Mubarak schemes as an elder brother (Peddanna) of the poor families.
Mr. Dayakar issued a cheque of Rs. 1,24,14,916 to all the beneficiaries of the Kalyana Lakshmi or Shadi Mubarak schemes.
The distribution ceremony was held at Rayaparthy village today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rao said that the Chief Minister was sharing the plight of the poor.
Earlier, Errabelli paid rich tributes to the portrait of the noted freedom fighter and former minister Konda Laxman Bapuji on the occasion of his death anniversary.
He said, “Konda Laxman fought for the separate Telangana too.”
Nearly 4 lakh people would get benefit under the scheme.
The scheme was launched by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to prevent child marriage and held poor people financially in 2014.
Each family would get financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,116 for the wedding.
