On the 23rd of May, Monday, the Special Operation Team (SOT) sleuths of Rachakonda arrested 10 inter-state drug peddlers.
According to sources, the Hyderabad Police have seized 470 kgs of Ganja, 4 cars, and Rs. 2 lakh. The overall contraband that was seized is worth Rs. 1.20 crores.
The raid and search were based on the information revealed by the Excise Circle Inspector Ms. S.K. Rahmunnisha. He said, around 290 kgs of ganja worth Rs.90 lakhs was seized in the temple town. She revealed the details of seized ganja to media people here in the Excise station to media people. She said, as part of vehicle checking the staff was conducting checking at Kunavaram road between the time of 4 am to 5 am.
The staff found seized ganja packets in the vehicle worth 90 lakhs, informed CI. The staff seized the vehicle which was from Jharkhand state registration and was coming from the Odisha state.
Head constables Alam, Narender, Jamal, and constables V Veerababu, Nageswara Rao, Babu, Sravanthi, and Lalitha participated in the program.
