Telangana Records 2,207 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total At 75,257

The Telangana Medical department reported 2,207 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Of the total 2,207 cases, 14 cases reported from Adilabad, 82 from Bhadradri, 532 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 36 from Jagtial, 60 from Jangaon, 29 from Bhuplpally, 87 from Gadwal, 96 from Kamareddy, 93 from Karimnagar, 85 from Khammam, 21 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 51 from Mahabubnagar, 21 from Mahabubabad, 35 from Mancherial, 32 from Medak, 136 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 20 from Mulugu, 36 from Nagarkurnool, 28 from Nalgonda, 15 from Narayanpet, 6 from Nirmal, 89 from Nizamabad, 71 from Peddapalli, 25 from Siricilla, 196 from Rangareddy, 37 from Sangareddy, 28 from Siddipet, 23 from Suryapet, 24 from Vikarabad, 18 from Wanaparthy, 16 from Warangal Rural, 142 from Warangal Urban and 23 from Yadadri Bhongir.

Till the 7th of August, this is the biggest spike of the COVID-19 infection in the State.

With 2,207 new cases, total reached to 75,257 cases, with 12 new fatalities, total stands at 601. In addition, with 1,136 recovery total recovered cases reported till date are 53, 239.

With these updates, Telangana has 75,257 positive cases, of which 21,417 are active cases, 53,239 are recovered/discharged cases and 601 deceased.

Out of the 21,417 patients, 14,837 patients are under home isolation and 6,580 are in institutional care.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 23,495 tests till the night of the 6th of August.

Of the total 23,495 tests, 1,539 samples are pending.

So far, 5,66,984 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.

With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 70.70 % from the previous 71.30 %.

In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate to 2.90 %.
