The Telangana Health Department confirmed 1,286 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 1,286 cases, 9 were from Adilabad, 38 from Bhadradri, 391 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 22 from Jagtial, Jangaon (8,) Bhuplapally (6,) Gadwal (55,) Kamareddy (6,) Karimnagar (101,) Khammam (41,) Komarambheem Asifabad (3,) Mahabubnagar (39,) Mahabubabad (27,) Mancherial (21,) Medak (7,) Medchal Malkajgiri (72,) Mulugu (5,) Nagarkurnool (29,) Nalgonda (29,) Narayanpet (4,) Nirmal (4,) Nizamabad (59,) Peddapalli (59,) Siricilla (0,) Rangareddy (121,) Sangareddy (37,) Siddipet (14,) Suryapet (23,) Vikarabad (17,) Wanaparthy (14,) Warangal Rural (11,) Warangal Urban (63) and 5 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
According to the media bulletin, with 1,286 cases the total positive cases stand at 68,946 and with 12 new fatalities the death toll is 563.
The State conducted 13,787 sample tests in the past 24 hours. With this, the total sample tests till date to 5,01,025. Of the total 13,787 results of 1,414 919 sample tests are awaited.
With these updates, Telangana has 68,946 positive cases, 49,675 are recovered/discharged cases and 18,708 are active cases.
Of the total active cases, 11,935 persons are under home isolation and remaining positive cases are in institutional care.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 72 % from the previous 71.80 %. In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate 3.10 %.
