Telangana Reports 152 New COVID-19 Cases, Total At 2.99 Lakhs

The Telangana Health Department registered 152 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The new cases were confirmed through a news media bulletin updating about COVID-19 situation in the State.

According to the bulletin, of the 152 new cases, the highest cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 25 cases, followed by 11 cases at Medchal Malkajgiri, 10 from Rangareddy, 7 each from Warangal Urban and Karimnagar, 6 each from Mancherial, Nalgonda and Peddapalli, 5 each from Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Siddipet, 4 each from Vikarabad, Yadadri Bhongir, 3 each from Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Wanaparthy, 2 each from Medak, Mulugu and Suryapet, one each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komarambheem Asifabad, Narayanpet and Warangal Rural.

In addition, the State reported 114 recovery and two deaths due to COVID-19.

With this, Telangana has 2,99,406 total COVID-19 cases, of which 2,95,821 are recovery cases, 1,948 are active cases and 1,637 are decreased. In addition, Telangana has 0.70 % active case load, recovery ratio is 98.80 % and fatality ratio is 0.50 %.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the 2nd and the 3rd of March, Telangana Medical Department conducted around 41,201 tests for COVID-19. Of the total 18,128 were on primary contacts and 4,944 on secondary contacts at government hospitals. The remaining tests were either in private hospitals or laboratories.

With this, so far 88,42,852 tests have been conducted in the State.
