Telangana Reports 710 COVID-19 Cases With 4 Deaths, Active Cases At 10,101

Telangana once again started reporting more than 500 cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus. In the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 710 new cases of the Wuhan virus. This is the third consecutive day that the State reported more than 500 cases, after reporting 496 cases on the 11th of July.

According to sources, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) regions, areas of Khammam district, Rangareddy and Nalgonda. Khammam district reported the highest number of COVID-19 (80,) followed by the GHMC with 71 cases and Nalgonda with 52 cases.

On the 15th of July, the Telangana Health Ministry released a media bulletin and update about the COVID-19 situation in the State. As per the media bulletin, Telangana reported 710 new cases, 4 fatalities and 808 recoveries in the past 24 hours.

The new cases were confirmed after conducting COVID-19 tests of 1.10 lakh (1,10,355) samples, taking the cumulative total to 2.02 crores (2,02,10,388) till date.

However, it is to be noted, the State is constantly reporting below 1,000 cases, especially after the Telangana Government imposed a strict lockdown.

With this, Telangana now has 6, positive cases, of which 10,101 are active cases, 6,20,575 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,747 are deceased cases.

With this, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 97.81% from the previous 97.79 % recovery rate. In addition, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remains stable at 0.58 %.

Meanwhile, compared to the previous 48 containment zones, there are 35 active containment zones in Telangana.

In addition, the Telangana Director of Health and Public Welfare G. Srinivasa urged people to take caution and follow all the guidelines of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, a total of 1.30 crore people in the State were administered the COVID-19 vaccine doses till date.
