On the 4th of July, the Telangana Health department confirmed 1,892 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The increased cases are said to be big worry for the people of Telangana, especially Hyderabad, which is one of the containment zones in the State.
For the first time, Hyderabad alone accounted for over 1,600 cases. On the 4th of July, as many as 1,658 people tested positive in Hyderabad.
The state officials conducted 5,965 tests on Friday alone.
Out of these, 4,073 people tested negative while 1,892 people tested positive for the infection.
Eight people succumbed to the infection. The death toll in the state stands at 283.
Meanwhile, approximately, 1,126 people were discharged/cured from the infection.
Till date, 10,195 patients have been cured and discharged and as many as 9,984 active cases are undergoing treatment for COVID-19 infection.
In regard to this, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is going to take call on the lockdown in the containment zones.
The decision would be taken during meeting, which schedule is yet to be announce.
