The Chandrayangutta Police Station in Hyderabad, Telangana, registered a rape case against an autorickshaw driver.
On the night of the 8th of December, an auto rickshaw driver allegedly raped an 18 year old teenager in Nampally area of Hyderabad.
This incident took place on the night of the 8th of December, when the victim and her 10 year old sibling were on their way back from their grandmother’s residence. However, the girls were lost on the way back. An auto driver offered to help and drop them at the location. Soon the driver took them to his home, where his mother scolded him and asked her younger son, also an auto driver, to drop the girls back home.
However, instead of taking the girl and her sibling to their residence or a police station, the man took them to a hotel in Nampally area and raped the 18 year old while the younger sibling was fast asleep. After committing the crime, the accused, on the 9th of December, dropped both of them at the Falaknuma Railway Station. Though the incident took place on the 8th of December, it came to light after the Police registered a case and launched an investigation for the same.
On the 11th of December, the Telangana Police registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
As of now, the Police are in search of the two brothers who are absconding.
