Telangana – Three Year Old Boy Goes Missing During Medaram Jatara

The Telangana Police is continuing their search operation to find a 3 year old boy who went missing during Medaram Jatara, a tribal festival of Telangana.  Medaram Jatara, also known as Sammakka Saralamma Jatara, is a famous three day festival of Telangana and began on the 5th of February.

The boy, identified as Sai Shashank, went missing on the 6th of February, the second day of the grand tribal festival.

Shashank, a resident of Kannala village, Palakurthy mandal, Peddapalli district, came to attend the festival with his parents.  According to Shashank’s parents, they were in a shed when Shashank went missing,

Unable to find Sai Shashank, the family approached the Telangana Police, who registered a missing persons complaint and launched an investigation.  The Telangana Police suspect it to be a case of child trafficking and kidnapping. They believe a gang of women is responsible for this.

After watching the CCTV footage of the festival, the Police suspected a woman and are interrogating her.  A few eyewitnesses gave their statements and said they saw the boy with the woman in question.

However, the allegations against the suspected woman are yet to be proven.

Meanwhile, the search for the boy is underway.

Stay tuned for further updates.
