After reporting below 300 cases of the Wuhan virus in the past few days, the State witnessed a surge in the single day spike.
The Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus cases reported a hike, compared to the previous day’s 298 cases. On the 8th of September, Telangana reported 329 new cases with a death and 307 recoveries. On the evening of Wednesday, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana. Highlighting the figures of COVID-19, the single day cases increased by 31 cases and recoveries reduced by 19 cases, in the past 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed after conducting 78,421 COVID-19 tests of samples, taking the cumulative total to 2.52 crores till date.
With this, Telangana now has 6,60,471 positive cases, of which 5,497 are active cases, 6,51,085 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,889 are deceased.
Although the cases witnessed a surge, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Government is working to control the second wave and now is preparing for the possible third wave of the deadly virus.
In addition, with all the precautions taken, the recovery rate of Telangana is 98.58% for the second consecutive day and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past 25 days at 0.58 %.
It is to be noted, of the total active cases, 79.90 % cases are asymptomatic, whereas, only 20.10 % are symptomatic.
