On Tuesday, the 23rd of November, Telangana reported 153 new cases of the Wuhan virus (the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) Besides 153 new cases, the State witnessed 2 deaths and 157 recoveries.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 36,570 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. The Telangana State Health Department conducted the fewer number of COVID-19 cases tests, compared to the usual 40,000 to 42,000 tests. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.83 crores (2,83,48,848) COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 60 new COVID-19 cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,74,842 positive cases, of which 3,533 are active cases, 6,67,328 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,984 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.90% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past 7 months at 0.58 %.
