Tollywood Producer Pokuri Rama Rao Passes Away At 65

Pokuri Rama Rao, a Tollywood film producer, passed away on the evening of the 3rd of July.

Mr. Rao, 65 years old, was positive for the Novel Coronavirus infection.  He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the COVID-19 infection.

Though a few sources claimed Mr. Rao’s death due to a cardiac arrest, some suggest it to be due to the Coronavirus infection. 

Family members of Pokuri Rama Rao are yet to confirm the cause of death. 

According to the doctors attending Mr. Rao, his health started deteriorating and he was put on ventilator ( life support) hours before his death. 

It is also revealed, Rama Rao, 10 months ago, underwent a heart surgery. 

Pokuri Rama Rao, along with his brother Pokuri Babu Rao, produced many films under Eetharam Films, production company of Rao brothers. 

The company under Pokuri Rama Rao produced Telugu films like  Ranam (2006,) Ontari (2008) and Yagnam (2004.) 

The last rites of Mr. Rama Rao was held on the 4th of July, in the presence of his family members in Erragadda, Telangana.
