The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) announced a major update for their commuters.
The TSRTC has now expanded its bus tracking system to encompass approximately 4,200 vehicles. The mobile app would help commuters to track the vehicles they have booked tickets for, giving a real time information about the bus.
All metropolitan Express, Deluxe, Super Luxury, AC bus and Metro Express services now employ the tracking system, confirmed the TSRTC officials. As of now, the services has been limited to a few 1,800 buses only, but in the upcoming months, the TSRTC would install the technology, helping commuters to track vehicle in every TSRTC bus operating in Telangana.
Mr. V.C. Sajjanar, the Vice Chairman and the Managing Director of the TSRTC said, “Passengers may utilise this application to avoid waiting and board their buses comfortably and on schedule. To improve customer convenience, the TSRTC corporation would even SMS the bus tracking link to all passengers who make bookings online through the mobile app.
Highlighting this new feature which would be enable soon, Mr. V.C. Sajjanar said, “Using the link, passengers may know the exact location of the bus as well as the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) at their pick-up spot.” He added, “They may also report any crises on the app, such as women’s safety concerns, bus breakdowns, medical emergencies, and road accidents, which would trigger a quick response and action by the officials.”
The services would soon be officially launch and would be expanded to all the TSRTC buses operating in the Telugu State of Telangana.
