After the immersion of the Khairatabad Ganesh idol immersion, the Hyderabad Traffic restrictions were eased.

The 19th of September was the last day of Ganesh idol immersion. In order to have a peaceful and traffic free immersion event in Hyderabad, the State Traffic Police imposed strict restrictions on vehicles from 6:00 A.M., on the 19th of September. The restrictions were eased after the 40 feet tall main Ganesh Idol of Hyderabad was immersed today morning, the 20th of September.

The Khairatabad Ganesh idol was immersed in the Hussain Sagar, Tank Bund, Hyderabad. After the immersion, vehicles were allowed to run in the City, especially areas connecting Tank Bund also known as Necklace Road.

In addition, NTR Marg, Telugu Talli junction and Khairatabad flyover were also opened for public transport and vehicles. However, PVN Marg which was closed for vehicles is still closed.

According to sources, on Sunday, the 19th of September, thousands of devotees participated in the processions, which occurred in many places of the City.

In regard to the final day of Ganesh idol immersion, the Hyderabad police deployed nearly 27,000 security personnel along with the other security arrangements.

The Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana Mr. M. Mahender Reddy, monitored the immersion processions in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana from the state command and control center.

However, now with the completion of Ganesh Visarjan (immersion,) traffic restrictions are upheld and people are allowed to travel as per the old routes.
