The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) announced its candidates for the upcomingMembers of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections
Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 22nd of November, announced Ms. K. Kavitha and 11 others as the MLC candidates, representing the TRS. On Monday, the TRS released the list of 12 candidates.
The MLC candidates for the elections under the Local Bodies authority quota are:
- Ms. K. Kavitha
- Mr. Yadava Reddy
- Mr. Tata Madhu
- Mr. Patnam Mahender Reddy
- Mr. Shambirpur Raju
- Mr. Pochampally Srinivas Reddy
- Mr. L. Ramana
- Mr. Bhanuprasad Rao
- Mr. Dande Vittal
- Mr. M. C. Koti Reddy
- Mr. Kasireddy Narayana Reddy
- Mr. Kuchumalla Damodar Reddy.
While Mr. Yadava Reddy filed his papers in Medak district, Mr. Tata Madhu in Khammam district.
Mr. Patnam Mahender Reddy and Shambirpur Raju filed their papers in Rangareddy district and Mr. Pochampally Srinivas Reddy filed papers for MLC election in Warangal district.
The remaining candidates are going to file their papers today, the 23rd of November, which is also the last day for filing papers. The MLC election under the Local Bodies quota would be held on the 10th of December. The results would be announced on the 12th of December.
In addition to nomination of MLC candidates under Local Bodies quota, the TRS also announced six names for MLC under the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) quota.
Six candidates under the MLA quota, who were elected unanimously are: Mr. Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Mr. Kadiam Srihari, Mr. Banda Prakash, Mr. Takkallapally Ravinder Rao, Mr. Padi Koushik Reddy and Mr. P. Venkatram Reddy.
