The Presidential election of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is scheduled to be held on the 25th of October.
On the 13th of October, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, announced the election dates. He said the ruling TRS Party is going to conduct the elections for the Party. The presidential election would be attended by 14,000 representatives of the Party and would elect its President.
Although the President of the TRS is going to be Mr. k. Chandrashekar Rao, the current President of the TRS, the Party conducts the election every once in two years. According to the TRS leaders, the elections now are being held more like a formality, following the rules and laws formulated during the formation of the TRS.
According to sources, the schedule for the TRS President election would be announced on the 17th of October, nominations would be accepted till the 22nd of October, scrutiny of the nominations would be held on the 23rd of October and withdrawal of candidature would be on the 24th of October. Mr. M. Sreenivas, the General Secretary would be the Returning Officer (RO) for the TRS Presidential election.
The election is scheduled to be held on the 25th of October and the results would be announced on the same day.
