On the 7th of November, another TSRTC employee attempted suicide in Dabeerpura, Hyderabad.
On the morning of the 7th of November, Shaik Baba consumed poisonous pills. He was a mechanic at the Ranigunj bus depot.
Shaik was one of the TSRTC employees on strike against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government since the 5th of October.
Shaik was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Shaik is not the first one who tried to kill himself after the TSRTC strike began. Many employees either committed suicide or died of cardiac arrest.
One such incident happened on the 6th of November. Karim Khan, a TSRTC employee who was emotionally disturbed since a while and rejoined duty at Karimnagar bus depot 2, died due to a heart attack. Fellow TSRTC employees said Khan was upset about rejoining duty, due to which he suffered a heart attack.
Meanwhile, the TSRTC employees and Joint Action Committee (JAC) called for a massive march, ‘Chalo Tank Bund,’ to protest against the TRS Government.
The march is scheduled to be held on the 9th of November. Approximately 48,000 employees would take part in this rally.
