The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and the TSRTC Joint Action Committee (JAC,) on the 30th of October, organised a public rally, Sakala Janula Samara Bheri, in Telangana.
On the 29th of October, Ashwathama Reddy, the President of the JAC, sought permission to conduct the meeting, which was denied by the Telangana Police.
Justice T. Vinod Kumar of the Telangana High Court (HC) directed the Police officials to give the permission for the meeting under a few conditions. The Telangana HC ordered the JAC union leaders to conduct the meeting without the use of hate speech and processions.
The TSRTC and JAC leaders began the Sakala Janula Samara Bheri at 3:00 P.M. It would continue till 5:00 P.M., as per the orders of the Telangana HC.
During the meeting, the TSRTC JAC leaders and staff met Srimannarayana Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and submitted a memorandum.
The JAC leaders also expressed their disappointment with the TRS Government and said the State Government is creating hurdles for the employees of TSRTC as well as the public.
Approximately 50,000 TSRTC employees, their families, JAC members, TSRTC leaders and others are participating in the public meeting.
It is expected after the Sakala Janula Samara Bheri, the strike is going to intensify further. The TSRTC strike entered its 25th day on the 30th of October.
The Sakala Janula Samara Bheri was organised in Saroornagar, Hyderabad, Telangana.
