The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees, on the 28th of November, would start a rally to the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner.

The TSRTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) is expected to submit a letter to the Assistant Labour Commissioner.  In the letter, the JAC mentioned about its decision to call off the strike and rejoin duty and would ask the Assistant Labour Commissioner to direct the State Government to take back the employees.

Approximately 48,800 employees are unemployed and are suffering after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the TSRTC authorities refuse to take the RTC employees back.

The JAC leaders, in the letter, said the TSRTC called off the strike on the 25th of November and since then, they are demanding the employees be given their jobs back.  The JAC leaders further said it was unfair that the RTC employees who reported to duty on the 26th of November were arrested.

The TSRTC JAC asked all the TSRTC employees to protest outside the offices of Labour Commissioner and if they don’t have one in their locality, they could protest at crossroads.

On the other hand, a few RTC employees staged protests at several bus depots across Telangana.

With the support of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) activists, the TSRTC JAC started the rally across Hyderabad, demanding the TSRTC employees be allowed to rejoin duty.

Stay tuned for further updates.
