The Telangana Police, on the 31st of October, arrested two men for trying to bury a baby alive in a pit.
The North Zone Marredpally Police said the two men were digging a pit to bury the baby alive near the Jubilee Hills Bus Station Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The men were identified as residents of Karimanagar. The incident came to light after an autorickshaw driver noticed the men and reported the incident to the Police.
According to sources, the men said the baby is their granddaughter and died during an operation, due to which they were burying her. After the Police saw the baby move, they arrested the men and took them into custody.
The Police filed a case against the men under the relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation.
The baby is currently at the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, under the supervision of doctors and the Police.
