Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture took a dig at the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Mr. G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday slammed the Telangana government for neglecting Musi riverfront development stating this resulted in the flooding of areas affecting the people of Telangana.  During his visit to the Musi river project, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy visited some areas in Amberpet which are inundated due to recent heavy rains and floods in the Musi river.  He also highlighted that due to the pending work at the Musi River, the Moosarambagh bridge was submerged.

Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, a Member of Parliament (MP) from Secunderabad lashed out at the TRS Government saying their negligence in developing the riverfront and checking encroachments resulted in hardships for the people, residing near Musi River.  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader alleged that the TRS Government failed to learn any lessons from the past when the State received heavy rainfall and learned no lesson.

The Union Minister also inspected the Moosarambagh bridge across Musi which was completely submerged due to the flood water from Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar reservoirs upstream.

Furthermore, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy also criticized the Delhi visit of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao.  He said, “What is he doing in Delhi? Nobody knows.  Is he doing something there for people’s welfare, for his party or is he going there for some conspiracy against the Narendra Modi government?”

Notably, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is in Delhi and is likely to meet non-BJP leaders and parties with an approach of a third national front, against the BJP and the Indian National Congress.
