Mr. Venkat Reddy, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Member of Parliament (MP) from Choutuppal Taduri alleged that the Telangana Police tried to arrest him in a false case.
Mr. Venkat Reddy said after he met with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mr. Eatala Rajender, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, allegedly tried to accuse him in a false case. The MP claimed that Task Force police came to his residence on the 15th of August, Monday night and asked him to open the main door, but he and his family members entered into an argument with the police.
After the heated argument, the cops told Mr. Venkat Reddy that they came to his house to arrest him on the orders of the Telangana Police Commissioner regarding a case. Furthermore, as of now, the TRS leader has been rescued by the BJP leaders, who shifted Mr. Venkat Reddy to an unidentified location.
Mr. Venkat Reddy stated that several Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTCs) and the Mandal Parishad Territory Council (MPTCs,) and 80 sarpanches along with him have decided to join the BJP.
It is to be noted, that the police were trying to arrest Mr. Venkat Reddy in three pending cases as per the orders of the ruling Government led by Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Furthermore, the turmoil between the TRS and Mr. Venkat Reddy was in view of the upcoming Munugodu by-election, scheduled to be held soon.
