Suresh, the murderer of Vijaya Reddy, the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) of Abdullahpurmet, died on the 7th of November in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Suresh, on the 4th of November, entered Vijaya Reddy’s office and set her on fire in broad daylight, at 1:30 P.M. After being set ablaze by Suresh, Vijaya died on the spot, whereas Suresh sustained 70 % burns and was undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad.
On the morning of the 7th of November, doctors declared him dead. He was in critical condition and was on a ventilator due to breathing issues.
On the 5th of November, Gurunatham, Vijaya Reddy’s driver, also succumbed to his injuries at the Apollo DRDO Hospital in Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad. He sustained serious injuries, 80 % burns to be precise, while trying to save Vijaya Reddy.
According to the initial investigation against Suresh and his statement, he committed the crime due to a land issue. The Police recorded Suresh’s statement on the 4th of November at the Osmania General Hospital.
The Rachakonda Police registered a case against Suresh and an investigation regarding the case was also launched.
However, despite Suresh’s confession and initial investigation, Latha, Suresh’s wife, denied the allegations against her husband and believes Suresh was innocent and someone framed him.
