No food and Rooms for OU Students

Students of Arts College, Osmania University are forced to cook their own meals as the hostel messes remain shut. About 275 second-year post-graduation students of Arts College have been cooking their meals for the past two months since the academic year started.
The contractors who sell groceries for meals have stopped providing the same as their payment remains pending. The Arts College students had dues of 1 crore and about 58% of the dues accrued in 2005-14 were supposed to be reimbursed by the State Government.
The first-year PG students have not been allotted hostel rooms and many of them have been forced to not join the college yet. C hostel that has recently got rid of the illegal hostellers are locked due to power and water supply cut. Private colleges have finished half their syllabus and students from Osmania are baring the loss in academics due to basic infrastructure and food provision failure by the management and government.
