Parrots!! What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say parrot. Most of the answers are ‘Cute’, ‘sweet’, ‘nice voice’ etc. But this old lady took up a different quality to describe the parrot. She found her ‘harassing’.
Parrots are known for imitating voices and this is something they are loved for and are petted. Keeping parrots as pets is something many people are fond of. But not this woman! Apparently, the old lady accused her pet parrot of abusing her and she lodged a complaint against her stepson, who happens to be the bird’s owner.
So she went to the Maharashtra police station, who were left flabbergasted by 85-year-old lady, Janabai Sakharkar’s complaint. The old lady filed a complaint against her stepson, Suresh, who allegedly tutored the bird to hurl abuses at the old lady whenever she passed by. The bird’s name is Hariyal.
The police even conducted a verification on the issue. The police summoned all 3 of them – the lady, Suresh, and Hariyal to the police station. The parrot didn’t utter anything after being bought to the police station.
Police Inspector P S Dongre said, ”There is a dispute over land and property between the woman and her stepson. We watched the parrot carefully, but it did not utter a word at the police station after being confronted by the complainant.” The parrot was sent to forest officials.
After checking the mental condition of the ‘harassed’ woman, the parrot was handed over to forest officials. Hariyal had no intention to abuse that woman. Anyways we leave you with toughest question. Who is the weirdo? The old woman? Step son? Parrot? or the Police?
