On Wednesday, Forbes magazine released a list of Global Game Changers for the year 2017. It features some of the most influential businessmen from all around the world. The parameters for the list were corporate growth, innovation and also international presence. These have impacted not only the business scenario but also the lives of those around them.
To make it onto the list the leaders must have a profit for the organization and a market value of at least $1 billion. It also must be innovative than it competitors and set a trend. Lauren Gensler, who is the editor of this list said that “These are true movers and shakers who are reshaping their industries and forever changing the way we work, travel, communicate and invest.” She added that “We set out to find the most intrepid, innovative people in the business world who are thinking big and moving the needle. This year, our list features trailblazers like Slack creator Stewart Butterfield, Alibaba logistics maestro Judy Tong and renowned inventor James Dyson.”
The magazine also said “Oil and gas tycoon entered the country’s telecom market with a bang, offering fast internet at dirt cheap prices. Gained 100 million customers in six months and set off a wave of consolidation in the market.” The magazine also quoted Mukesh Ambani saying, “anything and everything that can go digital is going digital. India cannot afford to be left behind.”
The list includes some of the biggest names of the business tycoons who made a difference in the list. The list is not ranked and gives names alphabetically.
